accessing referenced
files
There will be times when editing,
finding or gathering files used in
MultiAd Creator Pro
is necessary. Choose the type of
files you want to access (use 'select' section to enhance control)
choose how to access files and then click the 'open' action button.
In some cases it is necessary to update the graphic after making
changes.
Note: that most grouped elements contained in a box or boxes in a
grouped element, cannot be accessed by Swiftº. Note opening
graphics will open the graphic in it's preferred application. You
may encounter problems with some masked graphics or missing
graphics depending on your settings & version of
MultiAd Creator
Pro.

clearing boxes
Once an element has been defined as a
'pic' or 'text' box you don't have to remove it's contents
manually. Choose which level or type of boxes to clear from the
clearing options menu. Click the 'clear' action button. Images and
text will be removed from the MultiAd Creator Pro
layout. Be sure to know which items
are being refered to, use the 'select' action button and info
palette to help you
Note: that most grouped elements contained in a box or boxes in a
grouped element, cannot be accessed by Swiftº
declarations
To declare a pic or text box, select all the
elements you want to be declared (at the level indicated in Swiftº)
in MultiAd
Creator Pro.
Then click the declare action button.
By defining text and picture boxes, Swiftº creates a description
for each element in MultiAd Creator
Pro. This can be accessed in
the general palette for each element, a plain box (or untouched
element) will have a blank description.
If you set your own element descriptions for other purposes note
they may effect Swiftº results and vice versa. Swiftº automatically
defines a text box a 'text box' and pic box a 'pic box' for greater
control.
Note: that only the first text block in a flow will be
defined!

selecting boxes
Once an element has been defined as a
'pic' or 'text' box you may need to see visually which elements in
your MultiAd
Creator Pro layout are
declared.
Selecting can also be a fast way of grabbing items for other
purposes.
Choose the type of selection you wish to make and then click the
'select' action button.
Note: that most grouped elements contained in a box or boxes in a
grouped element, cannot be accessed by Swiftº. If the info palette
shows a count of 10 L1 text boxes and you can only see 9, zoom out,
perhaps you have declared another by accident. Select to
see.

collecting text and
images
If you need to collect text and/or
images for re-sorting or for fast layout change, then use the
'collect' section. when collecting text, a new text block will be
created in the top left corner of the page in MultiAd Creator
Pro. Swiftº will then copy the
text in reading order (top, left) or (left, top) from the indicated
text flows into this new text block. -- (see options for placing
direction & sort options)
Pics are placed into the files palette for re-use or access. The
reverse button will collect in reverse reading order. Make sure to
check that collections are in desired order - keep first text
blocks and pic boxes aligned for best results.
Note: that most grouped elements contained in a box or boxes in a
grouped element, cannot be accessed by Swiftº.
Rotated boxes will not always be used in proper order

placing text and
images
To place text in declared boxes
in MultiAd
Creator Pro. First get your
text ready ie. formated with styles and colours. Then select some
text in the flow you wish to place (all text in the flow will be
used!). Once you have chosen how many paragraphs per box and which
type of boxes to use, click the action button. Keep an eye on the
text as it is placed, placing in reading order (top, left) or
(left, top) & reversed if selected
-- (see options for placing direction & sort options)
Pics go in palette order in a similar fashion to text. Boxes with
content are left alone. - keep first text blocks and pic boxes
aligned by top for best results.
Note: that most grouped elements contained in a box or boxes in a
grouped element, cannot be accessed by Swiftº. Rotated boxes may
not always be used in proper order!
clipboard filters
Use the options menu to bring up the
appropriate settings panel.
'filter text (find/change)' - will change all of the ticked find
terms in your clipboard text into their replace terms. These are
case sensitive and will replace whenever found. For example if you
change 'red' to 'Red" note that all occurences of 'hundred' will
now read 'hundRed' this can be overcome with a space before or
other tricks, this can be time consuming but gives much more
control. Once a list is set it will remain in Swiftº until you load
a different list or delete the preference file.
HINT- When one of your terms is blank (such as a space " ") use one
of the symbols provided in a new row to describe the row above it
(ie. ^ 2 spaces = ^ 1 space). 'tab delimit (see settings)' - will
tab delimit your clipboard text using the settings chosen - these
settings revert to defaults at launch!
Note: that filters will cahnge fonts and styles where changes have
been made. Take care not to run clipboard functions more than once
it can make multiple changes

options menu
The 'options menu' provides fast
access to settings panels for the clipboard features such as the
find/replace list and tab delimiting settings. One key feature is
the box sort order options panel. This panel allows you to decide
how text and images will be sorted into and out of your documents.
These measurements are based upon the proximity of the top and left
of each box. By using the sliders to determine how closely these
measurements must be aligned, you can adjust the accuracy of your
layout.
(a layout with perfectly aligned boxes should have no
problems)
While the 'box sort order' and 'find/replace' settings are retained
between launches, 'tab delimit settings' are not. If you want to
return sort orders and screen placement for swift - use 'restore
defaults' in the main menu (near blue apple). Registration, the
swifto website, help and quit are also available options.
Note: the info palette only updates when an action is performed
& also updates every 10 seconds - so when opening a job or
switching between documents/pages be sure the readings are
current.
